We are excited about your upcoming sail at The Sailing Academy. Please plan to meet us at our office, 411 Deale Road, Tracy’s Landing, MD 20779 approximately 10 Minutes prior to your sail.

Below is a list of recommended items to bring:

Comfortable clothes that enable you to easily move around the boat. A jacket, fleece or sweatshirt may be needed for sailing in cooler weather. Waterproof rain jacket or foul weather gear jacket in case of rain shower. Remember that it is always cooler on the water than on land.

Soft soled, non-marking shoes. Deck shoes or non-marking tennis shoes are best.

Sport Water Bottle

It is important to stay hydrated while sailing. Bring a full water bottle with you to have out on the water. We recommend a reusable sport bottle over the small disposable type.

Lunch and/or Snacks

We will take a short lunch break in the middle of the day on full day courses. There are several places to eat near the marina but you also may bring your lunch and eat aboard.  On shorter sails, you are welcome to bring snacks aboard.

Other Items

Sun glasses, sun block/ tanning lotion, lip balm with sunscreen, hat with wide brim, disposable waterproof camera, waterproof case for cell phones, etc. that absolutely need to stay dry.

Please consider tipping your captain if you enjoy your course.
