Prerequisites: Sailing Basics or equivalent knowledge and skill


Days: Three-day course

Friday through Sunday most weekends


Times: 10:00am to 4:30pm each day


Cost: 550.00


Boat: Taught aboard 23-25' Sailboats


Certifications: American Sailing Association Basic Keelboat Sailing Certification (ASA101)

Students:

Keelboat Sailing is for students who want to be proficient operating a keelboat on their own in light to moderate wind and seas without supervision.


Course description:

ASA 101 is recognized in all 50 states as the Safe Boater Certification Course and fulfills the requirements to operate a vessel.


Keelboat Sailing is a widely recognized sailing certification standard. Students will master points of sail, rigging the boat, sail trim, basic rules of the road, safety equipment and be introduced to navigation aids.
